Photo Essay | In and Out of Phnom Penh

Photos by Amy McPherson

Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia had exactly 2 modern skyscraper at the time of visit. Tourists flock to the riverside to enjoy the view where the local Tonle Sap river meets the mighty Mekong, where the grand Palace watches over the waters and where cheap beers can be bought. A little further back from the river at the markets fresh fish and meat are sold next to touristy knick knacks, and food are served on bamboo mats eaten best among the Khmer families whose children has as much cheek as your own niece and nephews back home.
